About me

My name is Kalu and I am based in Hikkaduwa were I was born, raised and learned to surf. I am a passionate surfer and surf coach and I bring a decade of experience in surf coaching and guiding for surfers of all levels. My approach is it to always bring you to the best spot, depending on the conditions and your surflevel. My goal is to always make sure you are having a lot of fun, improve your surfskills and stay safe. Besides the surfing I also like to share our culture and natural beauty with you.

What I offer

Surf coaching for all levels around the local spots in Hikkaduwa (2 hours surf session for 40 $)
Surf coaching and guiding 1/2 day trip down the coast (4-5 hours, 2 hours surf session for 60 $)
Surf coaching and guiding full day trip up to Hiriketiya (sunrise til sunset, multiple surfsessions and side activites 120 $)

All prices include surfboard hire, tuk tuk transport and surf coaching. Video analysis can also be arranged on request.

For days without surf I also like to share other activities (e.g. fishing, turtle watching) with you and be your guide for cultural sightseeing or nature excursions. Tour guiding can be organized on request.
In our off season from June til September I also offer surf coaching and guiding around Arugam Bay on request.
